CCPA Compliance
HashUltra is committed to respecting the privacy rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendment, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This page explains how we comply with these laws and how you can exercise your rights.
Scope and Applicability
The CCPA/CPRA applies to California residents. While HashUltra does not require user registration or maintain a database of personally identifiable information, we may collect certain personal information automatically through website interactions, such as IP addresses, browser types, and usage data via analytics and cookies.
Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
As a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to Know: You can request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
- Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. While we do not sell personal information for monetary compensation, we may allow third-party analytics and advertising partners to collect data for targeted purposes, which may constitute "sharing" under CPRA.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not be denied services, charged different prices, or receive a different level of service for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights.
- Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
How We Comply
HashUltra does not maintain user accounts or store personal data in a retrievable database. We use third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) that collect limited, anonymized data for website performance and traffic analysis. We do not target advertising based on individual profiles. We honor opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), and provide clear mechanisms for rights requests.
Data We Process
Under CCPA/CPRA, the following categories of personal information may be collected automatically:
- Internet or other electronic network activity information (e.g., pages visited, time spent)
- Device identifiers and IP addresses
- Usage data from cookies and similar technologies
- Geolocation data (approximate, based on IP)
Legal Basis for Processing
We process this data based on our legitimate interest in maintaining website functionality, improving user experience, and ensuring security. We do not sell personal information for monetary gain. Any sharing with analytics providers is limited to service purposes and governed by contractual obligations.
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise your CCPA/CPRA rights, please contact us via email at [email protected] with the subject line "CCPA Request." Include your full name, email address used to visit our site, and specify the right you wish to exercise (e.g., "Request to Delete" or "Request for Information"). We may ask for verification of your identity to protect your data.
Response Timeframes
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If more time is needed, we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay. Extensions are limited to an additional 45 days.
No Discrimination Policy
HashUltra does not and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. You will not be denied access to our services, charged different rates, or provided a lower quality of service because you chose to opt-out or request deletion.
